But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jairo Tab couldn't finish the play. In the 11th minute, Jairo Tab made a precise shot to the right of Anacleto Lorencio. Inmigrantes de Quilmes's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. A collision led to Inmigrantes de Quilmes getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Prudencio Rosario hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Inmigrantes de Quilmes's zone, Rafael Azibar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anacleto Lorencio came out of the goal and Rafael Azibar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jairo Tab to make the kick off. Inmigrantes de Quilmes walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
