Ezequiel Ekain showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jairo Tab, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Independiente rey d copas's Fernando Frisco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Francisco Vasco narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ezequiel Ekain didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 43rd minute, which inside left pole to 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nicasio Maria stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jairo Tab recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Independiente rey d copas's Ezequiel Ekain played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Azibar in the 95th minute of play.
