Seating: 1660, VIP seats: 0) Horacio Jerrald started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Azibar in the 3rd minute of play forced Congreso's goalkeeper Ubaldo Geofredo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Francisco Vasco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horacio Jerrald in the 7th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Congreso's Pascual Etor tried to score from far away in the 10th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Francisco Vasco made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Jeronimo Urtun sent off a good shot on target. Francisco Vasco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horacio Jerrald in the 15th minute of play. In the 17th match minute, Manantiales was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Federico Gurutz to maneuver through the defense. 18 minutes into the match, Manantiales's goalkeeper Francisco Vasco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jeronimo Urtun. After having played for 19 minutes, Rafael Azibar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manantiales's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rafael Azibar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 21st minute Jairo Tab shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ubaldo Geofredo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Congreso's Ubaldo Geofredo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Azibar in the 23rd minute of play. In the 25thth minute of the game Rafael Azibar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Congreso's Ubaldo Geofredo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jairo Tab received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Ubaldo Geofredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 30th minute Rafael Azibar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ubaldo Geofredo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ubaldo Geofredo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Azibar in the 31st minute of the match. In the 32nd minute, Ramon Havier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Arturo Odon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 39 minutes into the match, Rafael Azibar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ubaldo Geofredo. Congreso's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rafael Azibar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Jeronimo Urtun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Congreso players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Manantiales were winning 0-1.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jairo Tab stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jeronimo Urtun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Vasco having to interfere. 53 minutes into the match, Congreso's goalkeeper Ubaldo Geofredo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rafael Azibar. In the 54th minute, Horacio Jerrald made a precise shot to the right of Francisco Vasco. Manantiales's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After a rather tough play, Congreso's Genaro Gaizkine got a free kick in the 60th minute. After 63 played minutes Manantiales got a freekick which was hit by Rafael Quico. Uriel Cordarell hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horacio Jerrald in the 73rd minute of play forced Manantiales's goalkeeper Francisco Vasco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Congreso's Jeronimo Urtun got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Congreso booed when Manantiales was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafael Quico didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rafael Azibar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Ubaldo Geofredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
