When Feliciano Galeno fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored San Lorenzo's protests and gave Feliciano Galeno a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, San Lorenzo's Feliciano Galeno got a free kick in the 26th minute. Lucas Loco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Herminio Victoro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Feliciano Galeno hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 34th minute, Julio Hanot sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and San Lorenzo's Lucas Loco didn't even have to move. The audience thought a goal was coming when Santos Etxatxu got free with Lucas Loco in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 37 minutes into the match, Los Cucarachos's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Barros came free, but Prospero Mirande reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lucas Loco made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Santos Etxatxu sent off a good shot on target. San Lorenzo's Lucas Loco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herminio Victoro in the 43rd minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Herminio Victoro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lucas Loco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Herminio Victoro in the 58th minute of the match. Ernesto Oxarra succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-2 in the 60th playminute. Herminio Victoro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Paulo Barros received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Lucas Loco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Herminio Victoro went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Maximino Sasoin's late challenge caught a San Lorenzo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Maximino Sasoin helped the player get up and apologised. In the 82nd match minute, Los Cucarachos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maximino Sasoin to maneuver through the defense. Herminio Victoro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucas Loco having to interfere. Herminio Victoro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute Herminio Victoro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucas Loco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ernesto Oxarra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. San Lorenzo's Simon Guerau got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. San Lorenzo had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
