The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, Alejo Txilar threw the ball into play from the sideline. Douglas Haig's Leopoldo Natal quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. A collision led to ZionTeam getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Elpidio Amato hit a great ball. Inocencio Hurko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Benedicto Micael tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 7 minutes into the match, ZionTeam's goal looked a bit too open when Adan Ledesma came free, but Benedicto Micael reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benedicto Micael made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Adan Ledesma sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Adan Ledesma's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benedicto Micael was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. ZionTeam's Benedicto Micael played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugenio Marz in the 14th minute of play. Benedicto Micael stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adan Ledesma's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Inocencio Hurko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benedicto Micael made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Adan Ledesma sent off a good shot on target. 24 minutes into the game, Adan Ledesma recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Benedicto Micael. Adan Ledesma showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Leandro Mendebal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Humberto Rolado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Higinio Daunte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adan Ledesma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Adan Ledesma struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Benedicto Micael didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Douglas Haig. Eugenio Marz might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benedicto Micael. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eugenio Marz ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpected shot in the 42nd minute by Adan Ledesma got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Douglas Haig's Eugenio Marz got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 44th match minute, ZionTeam was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elpidio Amato to maneuver through the defense. Benedicto Micael was a little too slow when Adan Ledesma got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 46th minute. The score was now 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adan Ledesma stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute of the match Alejo Txilar sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Humberto Rolado skillfully saved the ball. The audience was convinced that Adan Ledesma's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benedicto Micael was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. In the 56th minute Adan Ledesma shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benedicto Micael saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Higinio Daunte in the 59thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Humberto Rolado, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Higinio Daunte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 64 minutes, Adan Ledesma managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Douglas Haig's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adan Ledesma was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 68th minute, Inocencio Hurko got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Benjamin Nofre took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 70th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Benedicto Micael. ZionTeam's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Benedicto Micael took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adan Ledesma, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 77th minute, Adan Ledesma ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benedicto Micael was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. The supporters of ZionTeam booed when Douglas Haig was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arsenio Raebert didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eugenio Marz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Adan Ledesma came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Douglas Haig fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adan Ledesma couldn't finish the play. Eugenio Marz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adan Ledesma recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Adan Ledesma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
