Aristides Lucero's late challenge caught a FABRIBOCA JRS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aristides Lucero helped the player get up and apologised. 11 minutes into the match, Borghi's goal looked a bit too open when Filomeno Millrick came free, but Amancio Loi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amancio Loi came out of the goal and Eleuterio Jeraldo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 17 minutes into the match, FABRIBOCA JRS's Filomeno Millrick sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Amancio Loi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind FABRIBOCA JRS's goalkeeper Francisco Mitxaut, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Amancio Loi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eleuterio Jeraldo in the 33rd minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Osvaldo Sedeni hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Roque Llorian to make the kick off. After having played for 54 minutes, Filomeno Millrick managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FABRIBOCA JRS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filomeno Millrick was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Borghi booed when FABRIBOCA JRS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Abecia didn't get a good kick on the ball. FABRIBOCA JRS's Francisco Mitxaut played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roque Llorian in the 58th minute of play. When Armando Chuse fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FABRIBOCA JRS's protests and gave Armando Chuse a yellow card for diving instead. Oscar Esdras fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Mitxaut having to interfere. When FABRIBOCA JRS's Filomeno Millrick in 66 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Amancio Loi guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. In the 67th minute, Osvaldo Sedeni hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amancio Loi made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Filomeno Millrick sent off a good shot on target. 72 minutes into the match, Borghi's goal looked a bit too open when Eleuterio Jeraldo came free, but Amancio Loi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 73rd minute, FABRIBOCA JRS's Eleuterio Jeraldo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. 77 minutes into the match, Borghi's goal looked a bit too open when Eleuterio Jeraldo came free, but Amancio Loi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Filomeno Millrick fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amancio Loi having to interfere. 87 minutes into the match, Borghi's goalkeeper Amancio Loi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Filomeno Millrick. When Oscar Esdras came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Borghi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oscar Esdras couldn't finish the play. Borghi's Roque Llorian got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. FABRIBOCA JRS's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
