Rodrigo Benvido was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Douglas Haig's Cleto Nuxila managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Casimiro Olivar in the 27 minute of the game. In the 29th minute, Adan Ledesma ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rodrigo Benvido was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Humberto Rolado acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 32nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Primitivo Sergi. Primitivo Sergi hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Eugenio Marz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodrigo Benvido having to interfere. Adan Ledesma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Eugenio Marz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 42 minutes, Eugenio Marz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Douglas Haig's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eugenio Marz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Adan Ledesma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eugenio Marz struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Rodrigo Benvido didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Douglas Haig. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Tadeo Nevada made the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes of play, Douglas Haig's Adan Ledesma made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rodrigo Benvido was left in no man's land by his defense there! Adan Ledesma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Rodrigo Benvido managed to avoid a goal in the 66thth minute, when Douglas Haig's Adan Ledesma fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Clodoveo Cugat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The throw-in from Casimiro Olivar in the 73rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Douglas Haig's Cleto Nuxila. Adan Ledesma let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 74th minute shot 0-5 at rihgt post. In the 80thth minute of the game Adan Ledesma who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Old Etonians F.C's Rodrigo Benvido was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Humberto Rolado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clodoveo Cugat, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. 94 minutes into the game, Douglas Haig's Adan Ledesma nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rodrigo Benvido made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. The Old Etonians F.C fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Douglas Haig were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
