Spectators: 7218 (Terracing: 5415, Seating: 1660, VIP seats: 143) ZionTeam's Leandro Mendebal started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute Leandro Mendebal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Narciso Fidensio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Antonio Oro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Patricio Argoitz came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Rosario Central fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patricio Argoitz couldn't finish the play. In the 11th minute, Patricio Argoitz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 12th minute Patricio Argoitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benedicto Micael saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 16th minute, Reynaldo Normando hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 20 played minutes, ZionTeam's Alejo Txilar shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Narciso Fidensio came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in ZionTeam reached it. In the 22nd minute, Higinio Botello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Narciso Fidensio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leandro Mendebal in the 24th minute of the match. Patricio Argoitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benedicto Micael having to interfere. Patricio Argoitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Benedicto Micael tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benedicto Micael came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Rosario Central's Patricio Argoitz. But to his dismay, Patricio Argoitz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Patricio Argoitz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Leandro Mendebal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Narciso Fidensio having to make a save. After some careless play in the Rosario Central defense, Leandro Mendebal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Narciso Fidensio. The Rosario Central fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Narciso Fidensio should have stopped the shot. Narciso Fidensio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leandro Mendebal, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Narciso Fidensio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leandro Mendebal in the 75th minute of the match. Narciso Fidensio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Higinio Daunte in the 78th minute of play. Rosario Central's Patricio Argoitz got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Antonio Oro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
