In the 16th minute Norberto Mingo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teofilo Pueblo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jorge Txeru during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Laborde AFC booed when papelito FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Txeru didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benito Jurgi in the 22nd minute of play forced papelito FC's goalkeeper Rolando Luke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rolando Luke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benito Jurgi in the 24th minute of the match. Rolando Luke made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jaime Cilio in the 25th minute. In the 26th minute, one of papelito FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for papelito FC. 33 minutes into the match, papelito FC's goal looked a bit too open when Benito Jurgi came free, but Rolando Luke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Laborde AFC's Jaime Cilio pulled a muscle in his leg after 35 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 35 minutes, Amadeo Gelacio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the papelito FC and the Laborde AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 36th minute, Amadeo Gelacio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eugenio Hechter took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 38th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rolando Luke. papelito FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, Laborde AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Urbano Chuan came free, but Teofilo Pueblo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Teofilo Pueblo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Txeru in the 41st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Laborde AFC's Enrique Tonio got a free kick in the 45th minute. In the 46th minute Desiderio Dayam shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teofilo Pueblo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 48 played minutes papelito FC got a freekick which was hit by Norberto Mingo. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Serafin Sotil was the one to do the kick off. If Desiderio Dayam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 57th minute, Laborde AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Victorino Fidencio fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. papelito FC's Serafin Sotil got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Serafin Sotil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Teofilo Pueblo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. In the 77th minute, Saul Ebardo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Benito Jurgi came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Laborde AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benito Jurgi couldn't finish the play. Rolando Luke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saul Ebardo in the 80th minute of the match. After having played for 84 minutes, Urbano Chuan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. papelito FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Urbano Chuan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Victorino Fidencio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Desiderio Dayam took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Teofilo Pueblo. Teofilo Pueblo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Serafin Sotil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Teofilo Pueblo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Jorge Txeru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Laborde AFC's zone, Urbano Chuan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teofilo Pueblo came out of the goal and Urbano Chuan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jorge Txeru could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Teofilo Pueblo made a huge save. Despite being the better team, papelito FC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
