Uriel Alfonso's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Leopoldo Geleberto firmly grabbed it by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atlético La Plata's zone, Basilio Dominguez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leopoldo Geleberto came out of the goal and Basilio Dominguez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leopoldo Geleberto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Uriel Alfonso in the 28th minute. Basilio Dominguez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hector Roano hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 35th match minute, Los maliantes FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnoldo Tabby to maneuver through the defense. Club Atlético La Plata's Santo Itzaina couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 36th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Los maliantes FC. When Club Atlético La Plata's Nestor Amaya, in the 38th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. When Israel Jerico fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Atlético La Plata's protests and gave Israel Jerico a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Los maliantes FC booed when Club Atlético La Plata was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Israel Jerico didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Basilio Dominguez to strike the kick off in the second half. Leopoldo Geleberto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Basilio Dominguez in the 52nd minute of the match. After 68 minutes, Fabio Sauveur mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Los maliantes FC and the Club Atlético La Plata players grew even worse after the yellow card. The Los maliantes FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Club Atlético La Plata's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
