Club Atlético La Plata's Leopoldo Geleberto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Marques in the 9th minute of play. Fernando Jordy charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fernando Jordy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nestor Amaya made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Nala FC's zone, Prudencio Luken stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Astor Norino came out of the goal and Prudencio Luken tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 61 minutes, Nestor Amaya managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Atlético La Plata's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nestor Amaya was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Guido Vasco fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nala FC's protests and gave Guido Vasco a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Nala FC's Guido Vasco got a free kick in the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 69 minutes into the game, one of Nala FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Club Atlético La Plata fully deserved thier win.
