The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Moises Maju showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eleuterio Sergi, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Moises Maju showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eleuterio Sergi in the 20th minute of the match. Eleuterio Sergi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Miguel Iztal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 24 minutes, Eleuterio Sergi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Vieja Confiable's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eleuterio Sergi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Miguel Iztal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Moises Maju showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eleuterio Sergi in the 28th minute of the match. Marcial Abechuco hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in La Vieja Confiable's zone, Marcial Abechuco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Severo Lucero came out of the goal and Marcial Abechuco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arnaldo Emenon hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Miguel Iztal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Miguel Iztal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, La Vieja Confiable's Hermengildo Jayvier ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Moises Maju. Moises Maju yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Miguel Iztal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Moises Maju tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 62nd minute, one of La Vieja Confiable:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for La Vieja Confiable. Severo Lucero didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcial Abechuco went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Severo Lucero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo Todor in the 70th minute of play. In the 74th minute, Ricardo Todor ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Severo Lucero was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. In the 78th minute, Eleuterio Sergi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 80 minutes into the match, INDEPENDIENTE F.C's goalkeeper Moises Maju had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Miguel Iztal. Moises Maju made an important save on a dangerous shot by Miguel Iztal in the 86th minute. Miguel Iztal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moises Maju having to interfere.
