Ildefonso Tauro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Urbano Cordarrell having to interfere. Ildefonso Tauro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Domingo Lain's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Urbano Cordarrell read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Christian Aureo to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ildefonso Tauro in the 52nd minute of play forced Trampa's goalkeeper Urbano Cordarrell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Christian Aureo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ovidio Selatse was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. Feliciano Santana who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 68thth minute tested the skills of Ovidio Selatse when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The tension between the Chancay and the Trampa players grew even worse after the yellow card. Feliciano Santana hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. When Feliciano Santana got the opportunity to take care of a free kick it resulted in a really dangerous shot that almost went in the goal. Instead the ball went too high, a missed opportunity for Trampa. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Chancay had won after a very even match.
