Ovidio Selatse made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lorenzo Costante in the 21st minute of play forced Chancay's goalkeeper Ovidio Selatse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Saturnino Juvenal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ovidio Selatse showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lorenzo Costante, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After having played for 35 minutes, Lorenzo Costante managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Chancay players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Los Pampeanos were winning 0-1.

In the 51st match minute, Chancay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Honorio Blasco to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Chancay getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Genaro Eztebe hit a great ball. If Ruben Cordearo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Saturnino Juvenals short, quick shot in the 59thth minute got Ovidio Selatse to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 63 minutes, Honorio Blasco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chancay and the Los Pampeanos players grew even worse after the yellow card. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lorenzo Costante in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ovidio Selatse saved Chancay from getting behind. Melquiades Oliviero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ildefonso Tauro, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Lorenzo Costante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Ovidio Selatse tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Saturnino Juvenal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Domingo Lain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ildefonso Tauro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melquiades Oliviero having to interfere. Melquiades Oliviero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Domingo Lain, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. If Ildefonso Tauro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saturnino Juvenal in the 93rd minute of play forced Chancay's goalkeeper Ovidio Selatse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Los Pampeanos walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
