Spectators: 6672 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1657, VIP seats: 15) Ildefonso Tauro started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The Tadeo Ciano was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rogelio Goiz in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ovidio Selatse saved Chancay from getting behind. Ildefonso Tauro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. In the 46th minute, Celestino Karmel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Chancay's Genaro Eztebe got a free kick in the 47th minute. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rogelio Goiz was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rogelio Goiz in the 82nd minute of play forced Chancay's goalkeeper Ovidio Selatse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Celestino Karmel's late challenge caught a Chancay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Celestino Karmel helped the player get up and apologised. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
