Narciso Erruki dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Narciso Erruki came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Lanús FC's Dorel Goicea. But to his dismay, Dorel Goicea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 17th minute, Jairo Cilio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 21st minute, Joaquin Txordon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Joaquin Txordon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Narciso Erruki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ivan Van Lint didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jairo Cilio went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Ivan Van Lint showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jairo Cilio, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Narciso Erruki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquin Txordon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dorel Goicea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Narciso Erruki having to interfere. The supporters of Lanús FC booed when Maconia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnoldo Faro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joaquin Txordon struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Narciso Erruki didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lanús FC. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Narciso Erruki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquin Txordon in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 53rd match minute, Maconia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnoldo Faro to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 57 minutes, Joaquin Txordon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lanús FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joaquin Txordon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Dorel Goicea came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Lanús FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dorel Goicea couldn't finish the play. Joaquin Txordon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Narciso Erruki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dorel Goicea in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Narciso Erruki prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Narciso Erruki didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joaquin Txordon went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Emiliano Sagrario hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Jairo Cilio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Ivan Van Lint tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joaquin Txordon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Victor Sandaili fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Narciso Erruki having to interfere. Epifanio Steven charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Epifanio Steven the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 86th minute, one of Maconia FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Maconia FC. The audience was convinced that Dorel Goicea's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Narciso Erruki was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 96th minute of the game. One of Maconia FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Lanús FC:s goal. Flavius Pietreanu shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Victor Sandaili sent away a hard shot on goal in the 100th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Lanús FC fully deserved thier win.
