Dorel Goicea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 7th minute, Patricio Bernal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dorel Goicea in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vladimiro Ostadar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vladimiro Ostadar came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Lanús FC's Joaquin Txordon. But to his dismay, Joaquin Txordon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Joaquin Txordon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Vladimiro Ostadar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vladimiro Ostadar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joaquin Txordon's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. If Joaquin Txordon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Lanús FC booed when PBTs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabricio Urtun didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd minute of the match Flavius Pietreanu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vladimiro Ostadar skillfully saved the ball. Vladimiro Ostadar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dorel Goicea's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Vladimiro Ostadar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dorel Goicea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joaquin Txordon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dorel Goicea to strike the kick off in the second half. Dorel Goicea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vladimiro Ostadar having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 58th minute by Joaquin Txordon got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 62 minutes, Dorel Goicea made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. PBTs's Vladimiro Ostadar tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Joaquin Txordon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dorel Goiceas short, quick shot in the 69thth minute got Vladimiro Ostadar to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ramon Constancio charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ramon Constancio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 70 played minutes PBTs got a freekick which was hit by Ramon Constancio. After 79 minutes, Dorel Goicea made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. PBTs's Vladimiro Ostadar tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Lanús FC's Victor Sandaili was substituted for Joaquin Txordon. With an all-out effort, Lanús FC's Vladimiro Ostadar threw himself towards the right post 85 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Victor Sandaili, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Victor Sandaili recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Dorel Goicea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dorel Goicea could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Vladimiro Ostadar made a huge save. 94 minutes into the match, PBTs's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Sandaili came free, but Vladimiro Ostadar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Silvano Isusko during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The PBTs fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Lanús FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
