The referee ignored Guayacán's protests and gave Prospero Nataniel a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Guayacán's Prospero Nataniel got a free kick in the 35th minute. In the 38th match minute, Guayacán was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Prospero Nataniel to maneuver through the defense. Melchor Rivas was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 39th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Constantino Hermelando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnaldo Romelio, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. 43 minutes into the game, Esteban Cibran was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Guayacán's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atlas La otra Pasión the free kick. After 43 played minutes Guayacán got a freekick which was hit by Esteban Cibran. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arnaldo Romelio was the one to do the kick off. 55 minutes into the game, Guayacán's Jonatan Egun nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Constantino Hermelando made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Jonatan Egun hit a great ball. In the 73rd minute, Rene Maraman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sebastian Henrico made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Rene Maraman sent off a good shot on target. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Guayacán fans cheered their team off the field, for while Atlas La otra Pasión had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
