In the 3rdth minute of the game Oscar Botello who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Morenillo's Bela Torcida was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 6 minutes into the game, Morenillo's Braulio Afonso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leopoldo Romo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 9 minutes into the game, Club Mercedes Corrientes's Eloy Sarracino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bela Torcida made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After 13 played minutes, Morenillo's Braulio Afonso shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Leopoldo Romo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Morenillo reached it. Justino Lamberto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Bela Torcida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 17th minute, Morenillo's Chanchai Mazzoni seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Chanchai Mazzoni the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Morenillo protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Chanchai Mazzoni had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 16 minutes into the game, one of Morenillo:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Club Mercedes Corrientes a penalty, 18 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Oscar Botello, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Morenillo's Bela Torcida. 1-2. Bela Torcida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saverio Orain in the 24th minute of the match. The supporters of Club Mercedes Corrientes booed when Morenillo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Jorrin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bela Torcida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oscar Botello in the 32nd minute of the match. Bela Torcida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saverio Orain in the 37th minute of play. Bela Torcida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eloy Sarracino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Oscar Botello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Oscar Botello recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Saverio Orain fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bela Torcida having to interfere. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mauro Medina stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Saverio Orain recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With his leg Bela Torcida managed to avoid a goal in the 55thth minute, when Club Mercedes Corrientes's Eloy Sarracino fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Gerardo Videl charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gerardo Videl the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 60th match minute, Club Mercedes Corrientes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matias Salvator to maneuver through the defense. When Mauro Medina came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Morenillo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mauro Medina couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Morenillo's Braulio Afonso got a free kick in the 63rd minute. In the 64th minute, Oscar Botello got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 66 minutes, Braulio Afonso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Morenillo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Braulio Afonso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bela Torcida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oscar Botello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bela Torcida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oscar Botello, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. After 70 played minutes Morenillo got a freekick which was hit by Isidoro Basualdo. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Oscar Botello managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Mercedes Corrientes's supporters rose to their feet, but Oscar Botello was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bela Torcida breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 73 minutes into the match, Eloy Sarracino notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Morenillo's Bela Torcida. Bela Torcida was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bela Torcida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oscar Botello, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. After 78 minutes, Saverio Orain mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Mercedes Corrientes and the Morenillo players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Club Mercedes Corrientes getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Saverio Orain hit a great ball. Bela Torcida came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Club Mercedes Corrientes's Oscar Botello. But to his dismay, Oscar Botello quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. After a rather tough play, Morenillo's Gerardo Videl got a free kick in the 87th minute. 89 minutes into the game, Saverio Orain cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-5. Bela Torcida was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 94 minutes into the match, Morenillo's Mauro Medina sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leopoldo Romo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Leopoldo Romo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mauro Medina went, in the 97th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-5 was the resulting score. Club Mercedes Corrientes's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
