After a defensive mix-up in Galarza's zone, Niceto Soin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julian Markel came out of the goal and Niceto Soin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 15th match minute, Galarza was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduardo Hori to maneuver through the defense. Gabriel Milian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduardo Celino having to interfere. When Gabriel Milian came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Galarza fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gabriel Milian couldn't finish the play. 30 minutes into the game, Gilberto Heriberto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Galarza's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave juventud centenario the free kick. Gilberto Heriberto hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 38th minute of the match juventud centenario got a corner. Galarza's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Teofilo Incendio ran over to the corner to take the kick. Teofilo Incendio made a great header on juventud centenario's corner, it was just that Galarza's Julian Markel managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 38th minute, Bartolo Tancredo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. juventud centenario were awarded a corner in the 41th minute after Galarza's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Teofilo Incendio took the corner. juventud centenario's Teofilo Incendio was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julian Markel in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Eduardo Celino didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bartolo Tancredo went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eugenio Guerrero made a kick off. After having played for 55 minutes, Gabriel Milian managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Galarza's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gabriel Milian was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Erasmo Mendiko kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. juventud centenario's Eduardo Celino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save juventud centenario from getting a goal against them. In the 72nd minute Gabriel Milian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Celino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, juventud centenario's Diego Cambranes got a free kick in the 72nd minute. When Eduardo Hori fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Galarza's protests and gave Eduardo Hori a yellow card for diving instead. 83 minutes into the match, Galarza's goal looked a bit too open when Niceto Soin came free, but Julian Markel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of juventud centenario booed when Galarza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduardo Hori didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 85th minute, Niceto Soin made a precise shot to the right of Julian Markel. Galarza's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Gabriel Milian recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 94th minute, Eugenio Guerrero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. juventud centenario succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Galarza had controlled the match.
