After 17 played minutes GRAMBY FC got a freekick which was hit by Jacinto Navarro. If Gabriel Gustau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rd minute, Alfredo Oinatz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leo Santo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Rodolfo Luix recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 34thth minute of the game Alfredo Oinatz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but System of a Down's Leo Santo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fulgencio Emmanuel struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Leo Santo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GRAMBY FC. When Fulgencio Emmanuel fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GRAMBY FC's protests and gave Fulgencio Emmanuel a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to GRAMBY FC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Fulgencio Emmanuel hit a great ball. In the 43rd minute, Jeronimo Amato hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gabriel Gustau to make the kick off. Ubaldo Laurendi's late challenge caught a GRAMBY FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ubaldo Laurendi helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to System of a Down getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Ubaldo Laurendi hit a great ball. After 52 played minutes Ramiro Berenguer scored with a long sweeping shot just to the left of Leo Santo who was too lazy, 1-3. Rodolfo Luix fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leo Santo having to interfere. Ambrosio Leizarraga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonel Pinto having to interfere. Leonel Pinto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriel Gustau, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. GRAMBY FC's Leonel Pinto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ambrosio Leizarraga in the 63rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in GRAMBY FC's zone, Gabriel Gustau stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonel Pinto came out of the goal and Gabriel Gustau tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Through an outstanding action, after 74 minutes, Leo Santo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Leo Santo made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Rodolfo Luix sent off a good shot on target. Leo Santo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Oinatz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 80 minutes, Gabriel Gustau managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. System of a Down's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gabriel Gustau was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Leonel Pinto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ambrosio Leizarraga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fulgencio Emmanuel was shown his second yellow card after 83 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, GRAMBY FC's Fulgencio Emmanuel got a free kick in the 84th minute. Gabriel Gustau might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leonel Pinto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gabriel Gustau ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ambrosio Leizarraga in the 89th minute of play forced GRAMBY FC's goalkeeper Leonel Pinto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. GRAMBY FC's Leonel Pinto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Gustau in the 91st minute of play. Gabriel Gustau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Leonel Pinto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. GRAMBY FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
