The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Martin Ioritz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Venancio Arias in the 28th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Agustin Viator got free with Fernan Pirro in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pedro Piorno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Fernan Pirro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in San Lorenzo's zone, Fermin Elazar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martin Ioritz came out of the goal and Fermin Elazar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Freddy Avellaneda's late challenge caught a Lavalle AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Freddy Avellaneda helped the player get up and apologised. In the 42nd match minute, San Lorenzo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Freddy Avellaneda to maneuver through the defense. Martin Ioritz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fermin Elazar in the 46th minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pedro Piorno to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Venancio Arias got free with Martin Ioritz in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Venancio Arias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Venancio Arias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Ioritz having to interfere. Agustin Viator sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 86 played minutes Lavalle AFC got a freekick which was hit by Javier Bibiano. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pedro Piorno in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fernan Pirro saved Lavalle AFC from getting behind. Agustin Viator sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Eulalio Arnalt fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored San Lorenzo's protests and gave Eulalio Arnalt a yellow card for diving instead. The referee gave Lavalle AFC a penalty, 96 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Baldomero Estavan, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of San Lorenzo's Martin Ioritz. 0-2. Uriel Totakoxe hit a great freekick 100 minutes into the match. Baldomero Estavan was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 101st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The Lavalle AFC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
