If Venancio Arias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Bitter Hearts's goalkeeper Benito Martxelin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Venancio Arias recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Fermin Elazar made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes in the game, Jimeno Quilo dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. After some careless play in the Bitter Hearts defense, Fermin Elazar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Martxelin. The Bitter Hearts fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Martxelin should have stopped the shot. Jeronimo Vincente received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Fernan Pirro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fernan Pirro made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Jimeno Quilo sent off a good shot on target. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Lavalle AFC's goalkeeper Fernan Pirro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Bitter Hearts's zone, Fermin Elazar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Martxelin came out of the goal and Fermin Elazar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fernan Pirro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeronimo Vincente in the 77th minute of play.
