Roque Jeraldo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Casimiro Gabon having to make a save. Victorino Luken's late challenge caught a Naranjito FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Victorino Luken helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Naranjito FC booed when SUMO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victorino Luken didn't get a good kick on the ball. 60 minutes into the match, Naranjito FC's goalkeeper Casimiro Gabon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roque Jeraldo. When Narciso Etxekopar came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Naranjito FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Narciso Etxekopar couldn't finish the play. When Urbano Arano fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SUMO's protests and gave Urbano Arano a yellow card for diving instead. After 65 played minutes SUMO got a freekick which was hit by Urbano Arano. An unexpectedly hard shot by Narciso Etxekopar in the 67th minute of play forced SUMO's goalkeeper Boruc Badanowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as SUMO's Agustin Urbasa slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Casimiro Gabon. That made the score 2-1 after 95 minutes of play.
