Laureano Rivas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cecilio Fe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laureano Rivas in the 17th minute of play. Marcos Lucado's late challenge caught a General Urquiza MDP's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcos Lucado helped the player get up and apologised. After some careless play in the ÑanduTeam defense, Laureano Rivas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cecilio Fe. The ÑanduTeam fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cecilio Fe should have stopped the shot. 26 minutes into the match, General Urquiza MDP's goal looked a bit too open when Eriberto Guilabertus came free, but Emiliano Endira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ermegildo Herauso got free with Emiliano Endira in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ermegildo Herauso succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 31st playminute. After 48 played minutes, General Urquiza MDP's Ruben Jordy shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cecilio Fe came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in General Urquiza MDP reached it. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The wind increased when Laureano Rivas made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eriberto Guilabertus in the 57th minute of play forced General Urquiza MDP's goalkeeper Emiliano Endira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind ÑanduTeam's goalkeeper Cecilio Fe, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
