Gilberto Ascencio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Casimiro Gabon having to make a save. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

With a little luck, Hereford FC's Patricio Artizar got control of the ball when Hilario Raebert tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 81st minute, Gilberto Ascencio made a precise shot to the right of Casimiro Gabon. Naranjito FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. In the 89th minute Gilberto Ascencio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casimiro Gabon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hereford FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
