Elena's Isaac Diagur suffered a concussion after 34 minutes and had to leave the field. After 35 played minutes Islas got a freekick which was hit by Ernesto Lore. In the 37th minute, Ildefonso Florinio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jimeno Montxo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lino Sotero having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgardo Emeterio in the 47th minute of play forced Elena's goalkeeper Lino Sotero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Niceto Bortzaioriz was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Elena's goalkeeper Lino Sotero had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ildefonso Florinio. Guaberto Gonza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niceto Bortzaioriz in the 57th minute of the match. Niceto Bortzaioriz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guaberto Gonza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niceto Bortzaioriz, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. A collision led to Elena getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Roman Txordon hit a great ball. Jimeno Montxo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Lino Sotero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Elena had won after a very even match.
