After 2 played minutes Club Atlético Talleres got a freekick which was hit by Norberto Napier. Ubaldo Honesto received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Hugo Bernebe came out and tried to block the shot, but Ubaldo Honesto slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 5th minute. If Aldo Raymond had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Hykarios's Celestino Oalo got a free kick in the 24th minute. Cornelio Quilino was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 25th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Ubaldo Honesto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 27 played minutes, Club Atlético Talleres's Cornelio Quilino shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hugo Bernebe came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Club Atlético Talleres reached it. Hykarios's Hugo Bernebe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Hykarios from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mario Barea in the 34th minute of play forced Club Atlético Talleres's goalkeeper Benjamin Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Placido Jenaro's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Hugo Bernebe firmly grabbed it by the left post. Mario Barea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ubaldo Honesto was the one to do the kick off. Ubaldo Honesto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Hugo Bernebe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 56th minute, Ubaldo Honesto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hugo Bernebe was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Mario Barea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Placido Jenaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Hugo Bernebe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benjamin Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benjamin Tauro in the 73rd minute of the match. After 75 played minutes, Club Atlético Talleres's Cornelio Quilino shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hugo Bernebe came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Club Atlético Talleres reached it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ubaldo Honesto in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hugo Bernebe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mario Bareas short, quick shot in the 80thth minute got Benjamin Navarro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Benjamin Tauro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Navarro having to interfere. Benjamin Navarro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mario Barea in the 88th minute. 92 minutes into the game, Aureliano Urre was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Atlético Talleres's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hykarios the free kick. Hykarios's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
