An unexpectedly hard shot by Casimiro Egun in the 17th minute of play forced Imperial Warriors's goalkeeper Fernando Rios to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rafael Celio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Moises Mendebal made a huge save. In the 30th minute, Bernardino Cordarrol got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fernando Rios showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Casimiro Egun, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. When Shkëlzen Zogu came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the CAFC MIDLAND fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Shkëlzen Zogu couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Imperial Warriors's zone, Delmiro Guillerme stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernando Rios came out of the goal and Delmiro Guillerme tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 37th minute Casimiro Egun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Rios saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Shkëlzen Zogu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Fernando Rios tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Imperial Warriors getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Maximino Tonio hit a great ball. Casimiro Egun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 46th minute, Casimiro Egun got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Shkëlzen Zogu struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Fernando Rios didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CAFC MIDLAND.

In the 56th match minute, Imperial Warriors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santiago Malvin to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 62 minutes, Rosendo Fidensio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Imperial Warriors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rosendo Fidensio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 66th minute, Romeo Deunoro made a precise shot to the right of Moises Mendebal. CAFC MIDLAND's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. In the 73rd minute of the match Gürel Rafiz sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fernando Rios skillfully saved the ball. Shkëlzen Zogu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Rios having to interfere. CAFC MIDLAND's Casimiro Egun got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Shkëlzen Zogu managed to get in a good position for a shot. CAFC MIDLAND's supporters rose to their feet, but Shkëlzen Zogu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fernando Rios breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Imperial Warriors booed when CAFC MIDLAND was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastián Coates didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rosendo Fidensio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moises Mendebal having to interfere. In the 93rd minute of the match Bernardino Cordarrol shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Moises Mendebal showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the CAFC MIDLAND players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
