The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Isidro Azibar in the 4thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Everardo Eneas, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Edgardo Basajaun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Felix Lluis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 9th minute, Arturo Oxarra had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Luciano Nastasio's late challenge caught a Chateaubriand FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luciano Nastasio helped the player get up and apologised. Uspallata's Felix Lluis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgardo Basajaun in the 11th minute of play. When Lucio Sidro fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Uspallata's protests and gave Lucio Sidro a yellow card for diving instead. Cristo Loi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 27th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Everardo Eneas. Chateaubriand FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Damian Claus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 31 minutes into the match, Edgardo Basajaun had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Felix Lluis. Uspallata's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edgardo Basajaun was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Isidro Azibar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Everardo Eneas made a huge save. Edgardo Basajaun might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Felix Lluis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edgardo Basajaun ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 42nd minute, Edgardo Basajaun got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Uspallata players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Chateaubriand FC were winning 0-1.

Geronimo Vasco kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Candido Dalmai, 54 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Everardo Eneas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marciano Cloyo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lucio Sidro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Everardo Eneas having to interfere. Arnulfo Lazcano charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arnulfo Lazcano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 66 played minutes Chateaubriand FC got a freekick which was hit by Arnulfo Lazcano. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidro Azibar in the 67th minute of play forced Chateaubriand FC's goalkeeper Everardo Eneas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Isidro Azibar kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Uspallata's Candido Dalmai got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Edgardo Basajaun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marciano Cloyo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Everardo Eneas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Uspallata supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Chateaubriand FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Chateaubriand FC.
