Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Paulo Macario made the kick off which started today's match. After 5 played minutes Durañona got a freekick which was hit by Gilberto Anaya. After 8 played minutes Mataro AFC got a freekick which was hit by Aristides Alvarez. The supporters of Mataro AFC booed when Durañona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vinicio Milian didn't get a good kick on the ball. Apolo Rey blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Segundo Urtats having to make a save. Vinicio Milian hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. If Apolo Rey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Segundo Urtats took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Apolo Rey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Apolo Rey in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Segundo Urtats prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 42 played minutes Mataro AFC got a freekick which was hit by Horacio Markel. Mataro AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 47th minute, when Paulo Macario scored to the left of an out of position Edgard Rodas, making the score, 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Apolo Rey to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the game, Arsenio Tuste threw the ball into play from the sideline. Mataro AFC's Braulio Maurin quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Braulio Maurin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 61 minutes, Braulio Maurin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mataro AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Braulio Maurin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Apolo Francho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Segundo Urtats made a huge save. When Mataro AFC's Apolo Rey in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Durañona's goalie prevented a goal. Uriel Ermano took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Segundo Urtats. Segundo Urtats dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Serafino Xacintu during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 69 played minutes Mataro AFC got a freekick which was hit by Serafino Xacintu. Edgard Rodas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vinicio Milian in the 70th minute of the match. Durañona's Segundo Urtats proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Durañona from getting a goal against them. Alvaro Ricart's late challenge caught a Mataro AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alvaro Ricart helped the player get up and apologised. In the 74th minute, Alvaro Ricart hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Horacio Markel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Segundo Urtats having to interfere. When Mataro AFC's Apolo Rey in the 81st minute got a chance for a shot 81st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Durañona's goalie prevented a goal. Horacio Markel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vinicio Milian hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. After 84 minutes, Uriel Ermano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mataro AFC and the Durañona players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Durañona booed when Mataro AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Uriel Ermano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Apolo Rey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 91 played minutes Durañona got a freekick which was hit by Alvaro Ricart. A collision led to Durañona getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Gilberto Anaya hit a great ball. Mataro AFC played a much better game than Durañona and deserved their victory. The Durañona players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
