The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 13 minutes into the game, Apolo Rey cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Rigoberto Eneas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Mataro AFC's Llorenc Lazcano got a free kick in the 17th minute. Giuseppe Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ñamfi FC's Rigoberto Eneas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Llorenc Lazcano in the 21st minute of play. İbrahim Ethem Çelikkan received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Edgard Rodas came out and tried to block the shot, but İbrahim Ethem Çelikkan slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 34th minute. İbrahim Ethem Çelikkan's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 37thth minute, Edgard Rodas skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 44 minutes into the game, İbrahim Ethem Çelikkan lined in a short shot 2-2 behind a frustrated Edgard Rodas. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Apolo Rey to make the kick off. İbrahim Ethem Çelikkan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgard Rodas having to interfere. 61 minutes into the match, Ñamfi FC's goalkeeper Rigoberto Eneas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Apolo Francho. After 64 played minutes Ñamfi FC got a freekick which was hit by Lino Vincent. In the 65th minute, Apolo Francho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. İbrahim Ethem Çelikkan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edgard Rodas having to make a save. When İbrahim Ethem Çelikkan fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ñamfi FC's protests and gave İbrahim Ethem Çelikkan a yellow card for diving instead. 74 minutes into the game, Llorenc Lazcano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mataro AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ñamfi FC the free kick. A collision led to Mataro AFC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Llorenc Lazcano hit a great ball. Edgard Rodas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from İbrahim Ethem Çelikkan, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Giuseppe Costa struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Edgard Rodas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ñamfi FC. With a little luck, Ñamfi FC's Rigoberto Eneas got control of the ball when Amancio Etxahun tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mataro AFC's attentive Llorenc Lazcano managed to snatch the ball when Isaias Lluques made a throw-in in the 91st minute of the game. İbrahim Ethem Çelikkan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mataro AFC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
