The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A hard shot 6 in the game by Apolo Rey from a close distance when the talented Segundo Urtats managed to make a qualified save. Durañona's players were relieved. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joaquin Tebaldo during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Llorenc Lazcano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 14th minute, Apolo Rey reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Segundo Urtats. The goal made the score 1-0. After having played for 17 minutes, Apolo Rey managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mataro AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Apolo Rey was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Apolo Rey hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. When Mataro AFC's Apolo Rey in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Segundo Urtats made an important save on a dangerous shot by Apolo Rey in the 34th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Durañona's zone, Llorenc Lazcano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Segundo Urtats came out of the goal and Llorenc Lazcano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amancio Etxahun charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amancio Etxahun the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Amancio Etxahun hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Apolo Rey in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Segundo Urtats saved Durañona from getting behind. Apolo Rey blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Segundo Urtats having to make a save. In the 47th minute Hector Dei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Segundo Urtats saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Llorenc Lazcano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Segundo Urtats having to interfere. After 61st play minutes Apolo Rey shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Segundo Urtats and just under the crossbar into goal. Segundo Urtats showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Apolo Rey, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. After 71 minutes, Paulo Macario mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Durañona and the Mataro AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Durañona's Paulo Macario got a free kick in the 71st minute. In the 77th minute Apolo Rey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Segundo Urtats saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Durañona's Segundo Urtats played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Llorenc Lazcano in the 82nd minute of play. 92 minutes into the game, Apolo Rey cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Segundo Urtats was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Mataro AFC had played much better football throughout.
