Everardo Eneas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Julian Nisio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Everardo Eneas having to interfere. Justino Urdaspal hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Arnulfo Lazcano kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. A hard shot 25 in the game by Apolo Rey from a close distance when the talented Everardo Eneas managed to make a qualified save. Chateaubriand FC's players were relieved. Samuel Eate took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 30th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Edgard Rodas. Mataro AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Everardo Eneas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Apolo Rey's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Apolo Rey struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Everardo Eneas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mataro AFC. Everardo Eneas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Apolo Rey in the 37th minute of the match. In the 40th match minute, Chateaubriand FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geronimo Vasco to maneuver through the defense. When Arnulfo Lazcano fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chateaubriand FC's protests and gave Arnulfo Lazcano a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Chateaubriand FC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Arnulfo Lazcano hit a great ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arnulfo Lazcano made a kick off. In the 55th minute, Mataro AFC's Florentino Aurken seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Florentino Aurken the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Mataro AFC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Florentino Aurken had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 55th minute, one of Mataro AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Mataro AFC. Edgard Rodas came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Chateaubriand FC's Reynaldo Lopes. But to his dismay, Reynaldo Lopes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. After 60 played minutes Mataro AFC got a freekick which was hit by Uriel Ermano. Amancio Etxahun scored 3-1 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Everardo Eneas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Everardo Eneas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hector Dei, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Mataro AFC's Edgard Rodas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnulfo Lazcano in the 73rd minute of play. After 74 played minutes Chateaubriand FC got a freekick which was hit by Arturo Oxarra. When Arnulfo Lazcano came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Chateaubriand FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arnulfo Lazcano couldn't finish the play. Edgard Rodas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnulfo Lazcano in the 81st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Chateaubriand FC's Damian Claus got a free kick in the 84th minute. Everardo Eneas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Uriel Ermano, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Geronimo Vasco hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. 91 minutes into the match, Chateaubriand FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hector Dei came free, but Everardo Eneas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Everardo Eneas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hector Dei in the 94th minute of play. In the 97th minute, Llorenc Lazcano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Mataro AFC had played much better football throughout.
