When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Faustino Lalla took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Ambrosio Tomi to make any attempt to save it. After a defensive mix-up in Los Andes's zone, Faustino Lalla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ambrosio Tomi came out of the goal and Faustino Lalla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ambrosio Tomi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Faustino Lalla in the 42nd minute of play. ✯ G a l i L e o ✯ ✯ F C ✯'s Daniel Baudelio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristobal Abechuco in the 45th minute of play. 45 minutes into the game, Anacleto Mancio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ✯ G a l i L e o ✯ ✯ F C ✯'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Los Andes the free kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vicente Venceslas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
