Remes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Teodoro Benitez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Gaudencio Vellito took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 15th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lino Platon. Martillos FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Marcelino Faro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Roque Miliano having to make a save. In the 23rd minute Teodoro Benitez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roque Miliano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joel Filipo was the one to do the kick off. With his leg Roque Miliano managed to avoid a goal in the 57thth minute, when Martillos FC's Teodoro Benitez fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 58 minutes into the match, Martillos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Teodoro Resto came free, but Lino Platon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Teodoro Benitez who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 64thth minute tested the skills of Roque Miliano when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Martillos FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
