An unexpectedly hard shot by Amancio Xacintu in the 4th minute of play forced Islas's goalkeeper Amadeo Ihintza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Roland AFC getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Domingos Beltza hit a great ball. Bernardino Barros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isaac Ovando, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Bernardino Barros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isaac Ovando, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Isaac Ovando received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Bernardino Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 22 minutes into the match, Islas's Rodrigo Calisto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bernardino Barros narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 28th minute, Amancio Xacintu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Islas's Amadeo Ihintza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aldo Frascuelo in the 32nd minute of play. Baldomiro Bizi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Amadeo Ihintza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. After having played for 39 minutes, Isaac Ovando managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Islas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isaac Ovando was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Isaac Ovando came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Islas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isaac Ovando couldn't finish the play. Amancio Xacintu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeo Ihintza having to interfere. Amadeo Ihintza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amancio Xacintu in the 45th minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aldo Frascuelo made a kick off. When Damaso Otsoko fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Islas's protests and gave Damaso Otsoko a yellow card for diving instead. Damaso Otsoko hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Aldo Frascuelo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Amancio Xacintu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Amadeo Ihintza came out and tried to block the shot, but Amancio Xacintu slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 55th minute. Isaac Ovando sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Isaac Ovando spun around in front of the goal 62 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Roland AFC's goal. In the 67th minute, Arturo Grabiel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rodrigo Calisto struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Bernardino Barros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Islas. After a rather tough play, Roland AFC's Arturo Grabiel got a free kick in the 69th minute. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Roland AFC's goalkeeper Bernardino Barros, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match clock showed 75 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Isaac Ovando sped through Roland AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bernardino Barros. 79 minutes into the match, Roland AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Calisto came free, but Bernardino Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bernardino Barros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isaac Ovando, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Amancio Xacintu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Amadeo Ihintza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. Amadeo Ihintza didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aldo Frascuelo went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Isaac Ovando sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Isaac Ovando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Isaac Ovando struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Bernardino Barros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Islas. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Roland AFC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
