The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Maximino Orzaize managed to get in a good position for a shot. Papagallos's supporters rose to their feet, but Maximino Orzaize was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cesar Rufo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 5th minute, Nestor Chesus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 7 minutes into the match, Papagallos's goalkeeper Timoteo Noe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aquiles Monte. Maximino Orzaize recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Teo Tiso fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Marpla FC's protests and gave Teo Tiso a yellow card for diving instead. Teo Tiso kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Papagallos's attentive Maximiliano Txerran managed to snatch the ball when Denis Pitin made a throw-in in the 22nd minute of the game. In the 23rd minute, Enrique Victoro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 25thth minute of the game Carmelo Ferrer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Marpla FC's Cesar Rufo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carmelo Ferrer in the 38th minute of play forced Marpla FC's goalkeeper Cesar Rufo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Papagallos's Maximino Orzaize got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Gonzalo Macario fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Papagallos's protests and gave Gonzalo Macario a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Papagallos's Gonzalo Macario got a free kick in the 43rd minute. After having played for 48 minutes, Carmelo Ferrer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Papagallos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carmelo Ferrer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Teo Tiso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cesar Rufo was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Bernardino Telo. Enrique Victoro kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. 72 minutes into the match, Marpla FC's goal looked a bit too open when Carmelo Ferrer came free, but Cesar Rufo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cesar Rufo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maximino Orzaize in the 74th minute. Carmelo Ferrer struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Cesar Rufo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Papagallos. In the 83rd minute, Enrique Victoro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 87th match minute, Marpla FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teo Tiso to maneuver through the defense. Timoteo Noe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aquiles Monte in the 91st minute of play. Carmelo Ferrer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cesar Rufo having to interfere. Maximino Orzaizes short, quick shot in the 93rdth minute got Cesar Rufo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A collision led to Marpla FC getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Zacarias Shepherd hit a great ball. Papagallos's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
