In the 14thth minute of the game Leopoldo Innocenzio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chapadmalal's Alejo Sancho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chapadmalal's goalkeeper Alejo Sancho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alejo Sancho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leopoldo Innocenzio in the 17th minute of play. Saturnino Derwin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauro Regis having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saturnino Derwin in the 25th minute of play forced Portezuelo's goalkeeper Mauro Regis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mauro Regis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saturnino Derwin, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 30th minute, Maximino Kimetz fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Leopoldo Innocenzio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alejo Sancho having to interfere. If Maximino Kimetz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Chapadmalal booed when Portezuelo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Indartsu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Chapadmalal's Tadeo Abarca got a free kick in the 39th minute. Leopoldo Innocenzio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alejo Sancho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leopoldo Innocenzio made a kick off. Manuel Indartsu's late challenge caught a Chapadmalal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
