Manuel Fernandez hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. 14 minutes into the game, Leon's Rene Felo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alejo Sancho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Leon's Fernando Perez got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Chapadmalal's zone, Fernando Perez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alejo Sancho came out of the goal and Fernando Perez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fernando Perez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alejo Sancho having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Rene Felo fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Alejo Sancho, passed just outside the right post. If Fernando Perez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Saturnino Derwin struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Felix Fernandez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chapadmalal. In the 48th minute, Arnulfo Hartz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Leon were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after Chapadmalal's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Anier Crispo took the corner. Leon's Anier Crispo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Alejo Sancho in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maximino Kimetz got free with Felix Fernandez in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 64th minute Rene Felo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alejo Sancho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alejo Sancho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rene Felo in the 67th minute of the match. Manuel Fernandez kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Felix Fernandez made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Arnulfo Hartz sent off a good shot on target. 78 minutes into the match, Chapadmalal's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Perez came free, but Alejo Sancho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chapadmalal's Alejo Sancho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rene Felo in the 84th minute of play. If Rene Felo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fernando Perez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Alejo Sancho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rene Felo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alejo Sancho having to interfere. Rene Felo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leon's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
