Pablo Columbo might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cecilio Cesario. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pablo Columbo ran back to his position shaking his head. 31 minutes into the match, Pepo-Papo y Pompis AFC's goalkeeper Cecilio Cesario had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Inocencio Orlondon. A collision led to Pepo-Papo y Pompis AFC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Feliberto Jerano hit a great ball. Mariño AFC's Pablo Columbo got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 37 minutes into the match, Pepo-Papo y Pompis AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Inocencio Orlondon came free, but Cecilio Cesario reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Inocencio Orlondon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pablo Columbo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Cecilio Cesario tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pablo Columbo to strike the kick off in the second half. Cecilio Cesario showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inocencio Orlondon, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pepo-Papo y Pompis AFC's goalkeeper Cecilio Cesario, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ismael Iraunkor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Godfredo Pedroso in the 62nd minute of the match. Inocencio Orlondon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cecilio Cesario read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Godfredo Pedroso hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. 73 minutes into the game, Mariño AFC's Inocencio Orlondon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cecilio Cesario made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Cecilio Cesario stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Inocencio Orlondon's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. During the 80th minute of the match Amancio Fernandez completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Amancio Fernandez a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Pepo-Papo y Pompis AFC booed when Mariño AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amancio Fernandez didn't get a good kick on the ball. 88 minutes into the match, Mariño AFC's Gonzalo Bilbo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cecilio Cesario narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 89thth minute of the game Inocencio Orlondon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pepo-Papo y Pompis AFC's Cecilio Cesario was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gonzalo Bilbo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
