The tension between the Erize FC and the Carmen players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Erize FC getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. David Lamberto hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Melquiades Sabino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Erize FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Melquiades Sabino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Serafino Salamon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Melquiades Sabino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 15 minutes into the match, Carmen's goalkeeper Serafino Salamon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ildefonso Sanchez. Melquiades Sabino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Serafino Salamon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ildefonso Sanchez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Serafino Salamon didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 20th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. If Valentin Galoer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. When David Lamberto was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 31 minutes had been played. Serafino Salamon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ildefonso Sanchez in the 37th minute. The supporters of Erize FC booed when Carmen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Justo Tano didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Valentin Galoer to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Erize FC's Victoriano Ladio got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Erize FC's Delmar Xabel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valentin Galoer in the 54th minute of play. Carmen's Leopoldo Norino came free and shot a quick shot against goal 57 minutes in the game, fortunately Delmar Xabel had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Enzo Chayo struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Serafino Salamon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Erize FC. In the 71st minute Valentin Galoer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Delmar Xabel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Enzo Chayo kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Erize FC's goalkeeper Delmar Xabel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Valentin Galoer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delmar Xabel having to interfere. Delmar Xabel made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Leopoldo Norino sent off a good shot on target. If Ildefonso Sanchez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leopoldo Norino couldn't finish the play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
