Baldomiro Chucho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Esquina AFC's Santiago Ritchie got a free kick in the 21st minute. The supporters of MatiFC booed when Esquina AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Santiago Ritchie didn't get a good kick on the ball. Robustiano Ixona spun around in front of the goal 24 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Esquina AFC's goal. Cristobal Arias scored 1-0 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Raimundo Fe, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Robustiano Ixona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raimundo Fe having to interfere. Robustiano Ixona struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Raimundo Fe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MatiFC. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Maximiliano Elia to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Esquina AFC's zone, Cristobal Arias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raimundo Fe came out of the goal and Cristobal Arias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 67 minutes into the match, Esquina AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristobal Arias came free, but Raimundo Fe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Robustiano Ixona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Raimundo Fe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. MatiFC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
