Seating: 1665, VIP seats: 100) Nestor Richie made the kick off and thus started the match. If Cristobal Arias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th minute Nestor Richie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baldomiro Chucho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nestor Richie received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Baldomiro Chucho came out and tried to block the shot, but Nestor Richie slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 32nd minute. 36 minutes into the game, Gabriel Egoitz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MatiFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Belgrano the free kick. If Haroldo Vargas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristobal Arias in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abel Barros saved Belgrano from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Belgrano's Urbano Urtun got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Jimeno Tiniebra, 44 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Jeremias Gabirel hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. In the 48th minute, Jimeno Tiniebra sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Belgrano's Abel Barros didn't even have to move. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Robustiano Ixona made a kick off. Abel Barros made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristobal Arias in the 53rd minute. Cristobal Arias might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Abel Barros. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristobal Arias ran back to his position shaking his head. 75 minutes into the match, Nestor Richie had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Baldomiro Chucho. MatiFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nestor Richie was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Baldomiro Chucho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Haroldo Vargas, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Virgilio Koldobika struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Baldomiro Chucho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Belgrano. 96 minutes into the game, Jairo Pere was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MatiFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Belgrano the free kick. After 96 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for MatiFC! Baldomiro Chucho had in the 98thth minute some difficulties stopping Basilio Rubio's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 98th minute, Basilio Rubio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Belgrano fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. Belgrano's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
