With a little luck, Esquina AFC's Raimundo Fe got control of the ball when Higinio Rico tried to sneak it across the goal line. Silvestre Garikoitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximiliano Elia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Silvestre Garikoitz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicasio Sotil, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Higinio Rico to strike the kick off in the second half. Olympic F.C.'s Silvestre Garikoitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximiliano Elia in the 57th minute of play. Higinio Rico struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Raimundo Fe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Olympic F.C.. Severino Bermudez hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. In the 64th minute of the match Cristian Llorienzo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Raimundo Fe skillfully saved the ball. Nicasio Sotil might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Silvestre Garikoitz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nicasio Sotil ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 72nd minute, Higinio Rico got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Silvestre Garikoitz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nicasio Sotil in the 74th minute. Higinio Rico sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Saverio Bilintx fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raimundo Fe having to interfere. If Higinio Rico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Esquina AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Esquina AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
