Raimundo Fe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ignacio Otsoa in the 5th minute of play. 12 minutes into the game, Santiago Ritchie was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Esquina AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Independiente Rivadavia the free kick. Ignacio Otsoa took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Raimundo Fe. Raimundo Fe dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Eusebio Reno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raimundo Fe having to interfere. If Eusebio Reno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aldo Haritzeder's late challenge caught a Independiente Rivadavia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aldo Haritzeder helped the player get up and apologised. If Ignacio Otsoa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 26 minutes into the match, Independiente Rivadavia's Eusebio Reno sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Raimundo Fe narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Ignacio Otsoa came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Independiente Rivadavia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ignacio Otsoa couldn't finish the play. If Eusebio Reno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ignacio Otsoa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Raimundo Fe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Esquina AFC's Santiago Ritchie got a free kick in the 45th minute. After 48 minutes, Maximiliano Elia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Esquina AFC and the Independiente Rivadavia players grew even worse after the yellow card. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Ignacio Otsoa made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Ignacio Otsoa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raimundo Fe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raimundo Fe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ignacio Otsoa, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Ignacio Otsoa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 64th minute, Ignacio Otsoa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 68 minutes into the match, Ignacio Otsoa dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Raimundo Fe, 0-3. Raimundo Fe didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 72nd minute, which inside left pole to 0-4. In the 76th minute, Maximiliano Elia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Raimundo Fe was a little too slow when Eusebio Reno got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 95th minute. The score was now 0-6. Ignacio Otsoa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raimundo Fe having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Independiente Rivadavia left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Esquina AFC.
