An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaudencio Lizar in the 40th minute of play forced Wilde's goalkeeper Gigel Mihăilescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gigel Mihăilescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaudencio Lizar in the 43rd minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gaudencio Lizar to strike the kick off in the second half. Inocencio Pacorro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fermin Quinto, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Ubaldo Tancredo's late challenge caught a Wilde's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ubaldo Tancredo helped the player get up and apologised. After having played for 57 minutes, Basilio Theodore managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wilde's supporters crossed their fingers, but Basilio Theodore was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 59thth minute of the game Fermin Quinto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Huracan de Ciudadela's Inocencio Pacorro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Wilde booed when Huracan de Ciudadela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ubaldo Tancredo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Basilio Theodore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inocencio Pacorro having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marciano Artaldo in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Inocencio Pacorro saved Huracan de Ciudadela from getting behind. When Celso Boniel fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Huracan de Ciudadela's protests and gave Celso Boniel a yellow card for diving instead. In the 94th minute, Ariel Berbiz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew the final whistle, Huracan de Ciudadela could leave the field as winners, despite Wilde having more of the ball for most of the match.
