With a couple of smart ball manuevers Valentin Basajaun in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benedicto Laurentzi saved Club Atletico Contard from getting behind. 14 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Contard's goalkeeper Benedicto Laurentzi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lucio Domeka. Benedicto Laurentzi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Valentin Basajaun's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. The Alianza Boquense fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vladimiro Ceandro should have stopped the shot. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Valentin Basajaun in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benedicto Laurentzi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Leopoldo Rafel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vladimiro Ceandro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. In the 84th minute, Valentin Basajaun got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
