In the 11th minute, Bruno Tabor left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Villa Urquiza FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Camilo Gonsalvo might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Delmar Urko. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Camilo Gonsalvo ran back to his position shaking his head. Nereo Tolino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vladimiro Sagrario, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Carmelo Silvino took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Nereo Tolino to make any attempt to save it. Club Atlético Talar's Delmar Urko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnaldo Abecia in the 35th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vladimiro Sagrario in the 37th minute of play forced Villa Urquiza FC's goalkeeper Nereo Tolino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Villa Urquiza FC's zone, Vladimiro Sagrario stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nereo Tolino came out of the goal and Vladimiro Sagrario tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 43 minutes, Vladimiro Sagrario made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Villa Urquiza FC's Nereo Tolino tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vladimiro Sagrario made a kick off. 3-1 became the score in the 58th minute when Vladimiro Sagrario elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 66th minute Carmelo Silvino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nereo Tolino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnaldo Abecia's late challenge caught a Club Atlético Talar's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arnaldo Abecia helped the player get up and apologised. After 72 played minutes Villa Urquiza FC got a freekick which was hit by Arnaldo Abecia. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vladimiro Sagrario in the 83rd minute of play forced Villa Urquiza FC's goalkeeper Nereo Tolino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Carmelo Silvino came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Club Atlético Talar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carmelo Silvino couldn't finish the play. If Vladimiro Sagrario had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nereo Tolino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vladimiro Sagrario in the 89th minute of the match. Rolando Hechter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Nereo Tolino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Club Atlético Talar's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
