In the 17th minute, Zeledon Calvino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Guaberto Charro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lázaro Maju having to interfere. After 21 minutes of play, Avai FC's Leo Iigo made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lázaro Maju was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 24th minute, Esteban Froila made a precise shot to the right of Lázaro Maju. Rustico F.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Avai FC's Godfredo Garaile got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Avai FC booed when Rustico F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicanor Federigo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Avai FC's 杜轩延 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valentin Guillelme in the 32nd minute of play. In the 35th minute Godfredo Garaile shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lázaro Maju saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Godfredo Garaile struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Lázaro Maju didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Avai FC. Avai FC's attentive Godfredo Garaile managed to snatch the ball when Zeledon Calvino made a throw-in in the 45th minute of the game. In the 47th minute, Godfredo Garaile left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Avai FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Leo Iigo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 55thth minute tested the skills of Lázaro Maju when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Avai FC's Guaberto Charro got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Virgilio Gonzo fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rustico F.C's protests and gave Virgilio Gonzo a yellow card for diving instead. After 63 played minutes Rustico F.C got a freekick which was hit by Virgilio Gonzo. After a defensive mix-up in Rustico F.C's zone, Esteban Froila stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lázaro Maju came out of the goal and Esteban Froila tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Leo Iigo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 72 played minutes Rustico F.C got a freekick which was hit by Natalio Goi. After 79 minutes, Natalio Goi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rustico F.C and the Avai FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Avai FC booed when Rustico F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Natalio Goi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tobias Mateus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Lázaro Maju tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leo Iigo might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lázaro Maju. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leo Iigo ran back to his position shaking his head. 97 minutes into the match, Rustico F.C's goalkeeper Lázaro Maju had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Esteban Froila. Esteban Froila fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lázaro Maju having to interfere. Avai FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
